Mountain Witch - Burning Village (2016)

This review has resided in limbo for well over a month now. At the behest of our good friends over at This Charming Man Records, I've been sat Burning Village for longer than I care to remember, and being a long term diehard fan of the band, it fair to say it's nearly killed me.

I will however open with this - For those of you who have followed Mountain Witch over the years, you may be somewhat taken a back

by trio's most recent sound. It's out with the traditional sombre doom-groove and in with something wholly more, well, retro. Fortunately the change to the band's dynamic has been pretty

gradual, with the introduction of a third member and the subsequent

Dead Feathers - Dead Feathers EP (2016)

Mondo Drag - The Occultation Of Light (2016)

It’s no minor thing to pack up and leave your home. Heavy psych mavens Mondo Drag relocated from Iowa to Oakland, California, after recording their self-titled second album (released on RidingEasy in 2015), and the move is central to understanding the progressive turn that their third record, The Occultation of Light, represents.

“Each of our albums has directional changes in songwriting and this third chapter is no exception,” says vocalist/keyboardist John Gamino. “Since moving to Oakland, we’ve been privy to the large amount of music that flows through a major cultural center. We’ve seen legendary acts like Magma, King Crimson, Goblin, and Yes.

Wolfmother - Victorious (2016)

The Grammy Award-winning Australian hard rock band Wolfmother first captured the attention of the record-buying public when they moved from their New South Wales base to Los Angeles in the spring of 2005 to rent out Cherokee — the famous Hollywood recording studio — home of recording artists such as Aerosmith and Korn.

After a while, the recording was diverted to Sound City and a first single was produced. The Wolfmother project was a three-piece with Andrew Stockdale (guitar soloist and lead voice) working closely with bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett.

Duel - Fears Of The Dead (2016)

DUEL is heavy psychedelic stoner doom metal from Austin, Texas. Hugely influenced by the darker sounds of early 70’s Proto-metal. Features two ex Scorpion Child (Nuclear Blast)members. Their sound is menacing and brutally old school. Total purists, their tunes cut right to the bone with heavy, deep groove and blistering tone. Tough and Loud! Hard rock as it should be!

Eclipse Productions: In cooperation with Total Volume Agency we are thrilled to announce Egypt are coming back to Europe. Hailing from Fargo, North Dakota via the dusty plains of ancient Cairo, Eclipse Productions is pleased to introduce you to Egypt.

Fusing all the best parts of this scene we love, Egypt are a band with a lot of strings to their bow. Lonely Kamel - Announce European Tour 2016

This camel is certainly not a lone voice in the wilderness. Especially since LONELY KAMEL indeed sound like a desert, but in truth come from Norway. Gin Lady - Call The Nation (2015)

Gin Lady from sweden formed in early 2011 and released in 2012 their same titled debut, which got positive feedback all over the globe.

The group is influenced by artists such as The Faces, Alice Cooper, Master’s Apprentices, Cream and Blue Oyster Cult. The sound is straightforward and heading for the roots of rock. Earlier ventures Black Bonzo and The All Janet clearly show the members taste for detail and perfection in their sound and songwriting.

 On their new album ‘Call the nation’ the band shows their talent for catchy melodies and songwriting in the best tradition of The Black Crowes and from the heydays of Heavyrock from the seventies.

Isaak - Sermonize (2015)

With their second full-length under their current moniker, Genova-based heavy rockers Isaak hit their stride. Their earlier-2015 Heavy Psych Sounds split with Mos Generator gave advance notice of some significant growth in their sound since the 2012 release of their Small Stone debut, The Longer the Beard the Harder the Sound (streamed here), but with Sermonize, they affirm more open stylizations and increased penchant for atmosphere, making the 12 included tracks a richer, more engaging listening experience. Remarkably, the band — vocalist Giacomo H. Boeddu, guitarist Francesco Raimondi, drummer/vocalist Andrea Tabbi de Bernardi and bassist Massimo Perasso (who since the recording has been
